Well, finals, that was fun. Now that we are done though, let’s keep moving on. Today I have an extra special bootleg for you. It’s from Andrew Bayer and it’s called Undertow. This track is brilliant and encompasses everything that is wonderful about feel-good trance. Have a listen and hope you enjoy!
Airsoul – Asia
Just a little something for everyone today. It comes from the likes of Airsoul and the track is called Asia. Great trance track. Be sure to check it out and buy it over on Beatport.
New Tracks from Deadmau5
I know I’m not the only person who is glad to see that Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5 is back in the studio producing. Even though he has been on tour over the last year, Canada’s favorite nerd is pushing out great new tracks. I’ve got a few of my favorites for you today. The Veldt is almost “Strobe-esque,” going from melodic synths to an upbeat feel-good track with vocals from Chris James. Fn Pig is very similar to The Veldt, but without vocals. Superliminal is the last track, and is being distributed as a WIP. Deadmau5 says that he is still adding to this, and so it will only get better! Listen to deadmau5′s new tracks, and enjoy!

Makeup for missed Throwback Thursday: Oceanlab – On a Good Day (Gareth Emery Remix)
I forgot to post a Throwback Thursday song last week and I’m feeling rather generous today. This is one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite producers, the legendary Gareth Emery.
Gareth Emery is one of dance music’s most influential and innovative DJ producers. In 2011, he was voted #7 in DJ Mag’s ‘Top 100 DJs’ poll making him the UK’s highest ranked DJ, and one of the youngest DJs ever to land in the top ten. In 2010, he released his debut artist album ‘Northern Lights’ on his own label, Garuda, to stunning reactions from fans and critics alike, hitting #1 on the US iTunes dance chart within hours of release. He also celebrated 100 episodes and four years of his award winning podcast, collaborated with Above & Beyond for the crossover international radio hit ‘On A Good Day (Metropolis). He continues to sell out clubs and rock festivals in 40 countries to over 2 million people.
Today, we bring you the track, that for us, launched Gareth Emery into superstardom. The aforementioned “On A Good Day” is a redux of Oceanlab’s beautiful track. We hope that you like this song as much as we do! Listen and enjoy.
CONCERT REVIEW: Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre at Coachella Music Festival
So this may not be related to trance music, or EDM in general, but trust me, any music fan can appreciate this, so just stick with me.
Coachella is one of the biggest music festival in the United States, so everyone in attendance showed up expecting the main stage of the last night to party central. That was most definitely the case last night when Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre closed out the festival. They brought the whole entourage as well, including 50 Cent, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Kurupt, Warren G, Nate Dogg (via montage tribute), a two-story LED projection of Frank Sinatra, and a Tupac Shakur hologram.
The set went something like this: Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg opened up with “The Next Episode”, then “Gin and Juice,” and “Nuthin’ But a G Thang.” A video montage to Nate Dogg accompanied “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None.)” Also in the mix, Kendrick Lamar performed his new Dr. Dre-aided single “The Recipe”, and Wiz Khalifa teamed up with Snoop on “Young Wild and Free.” 50 Cent jumped in at this point with “In Da Club,” “What Up Gangsta”, and “P.I.M.P.” We then heard from Tupac’s hologram rapping “Hail Mary” and “2 of Amerika’z Most Wanted.” Eminem also added to this incredible performance with “I Need A Doctor” before dishing out his own “Forget About Dre”, and “Till I Collapse.” “California Love” and “Still D.R.E.” wrapped up the evening.
Now, this may not have been what EDM fans like, but a lot of us grew up listening to Rap and Hip Hop. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and the rest are legends in music history, and this concert shows that off in a big way.

Porter Robinson – Language
Porter Robinson has rapidly ascended the ranks of the international electronic music scene, captivating audiences with his ability to skillfully blend genres into his own unique sound that’s complex yet catchy, and classic yet cutting edge. In September 2011, Porter demonstrated his masterful eclecticism with the release of an 11-track extended EP that spans across moods of Electro House, Dubstep, Moombahton and even Trance, and includes remixes from Knife Party, Downlink, SkisM, Kill The Noise and Mikkas.
All I can say is man, it’s about time this song got released! I first saw him was last June at Beyond Wonderland Seattle (Along with David Guetta and Gareth Emery to name a few), then in Missoula, MT when he opened for Skrillex. Now that he has been signed to Skrillex’s OWSLA label, he has the backing he needs to continue to grow. Along with Porter on the label are Dillon Francis, Kill the Noise, The M Machine, and Zedd.
Porter Robinson’s most recent song, Language was shown to me by a friend of mine who saw him at Lucky 2012 in Seattle. I then proceeded to hear this wonderful song on the Gareth Emery Podcast, Above & Beyond’s Trance Around the World, and Tiesto’s Club Life. With the great feel vibes synths, this is definitely one of my favorite songs of the year. Be sure to pick up Language over on Beatport.
